Summary: Loose album pages from a photograph album of black-and-white and cyanotype images of Tucson, Bisbee, and Douglas, Ariz. and Cananea and Magdalena, Mexico taken by Birkner as a U of A student. There are images of a UA cadet camp in Sabino Canyon showing tents, and cadets in uniform; the Owl's Club, Park Brewery, Tucson barrio streets, San Agustin ruins and Santa Cruz River; a UA track and field event, basketball team, foot races and clowns, and a campus building with a Republican banner. Images of Douglas, Bisbee, and Lowell, Arizona include images of the Copper Queen Mining Company, a train wreck, mining buildings and activity, and a July 4, 1906 drilling contest. There are views of Cananea including the Cananea Consolidated Copper Co. smelter and mining activity, street scenes, market, a Japanese memorial, and railroad station and a few images of Magdalena, Mexico.

Incorporated by Col. William C. Greene, an Arizona rancher, in 1899 to develop mineral claims at Cananea in northern Sonora, Mexico.
